Workshop: Create and Grow Your YouTube Channel

Speakers: Jim and Chris Guld

A little story to tell…

Doing business as the Geeks on Tour, Jim and Chris Guld teach technology for travelers, both on YouTube and at RV meetups and computer enthusiast events. Their YouTube channel has over 12.5K subscribers, attracted by their recorded tutorials as well as their (formerly weekly, now semi-regular) YouTube Live show, What Does This Button Do? Chris is the author of Learn Google Photos and an expert on smartphone photography. They are active members of Early Bird Toastmasters and were founding members of Online Presenters Toastmasters.

Some of the questions asked and answered during the workshop:

  1. How much time do you need to grow a channel?
  2. If you are just starting, how often should you release videos?
  3. How long does it take to create a video?
  4. How do I add music to my thumbnail?
  5. Can we monetize YouTube for toastmasters a non profit organization or is monetizepation for personal/business?
  6. What do you need to create a successful video? – You say you’ve started making about $1K per month. Roughly how many views per month (or year) do you need to get that level of income?
  7. Do you have a lesson / video on using Camtasia?

And many more!!!
