    Introduction:

Since shortly after the launch of Online Presenters in 2023, the club has held an annual webinar contest — a modified version of a standard Toastmasters contest designed to test members skills that are specific to delivering a speech online. Our next speaker, David F. Carr, DTM, was the charter year President of Online Presenters and currently serves as our VPE.

The webinar contest has changed over the years, and it’s still an experiment with no recognition from Toastmasters International. David will explain how it’s different from other contests, and why it’s important.

This year, Online Presenters will hold a club-level webinar contest on May 8 and is also planning an “invitational” event where all the contestants will be guest speakers on June 12.
