About the Workshop
Running a good hybrid meeting or event (such as a contest) isn’t as easy as just bringing a webcam and a big screen into the meeting room.
For many Toastmasters, ‘Hybrid’ meetings are seen as the worst of both worlds – lacking the ‘vitality’ of face-to-face meetings, and plagued with technical issues.
But done right, Hybrid meetings can energise a club, providing speaking and training opportunities that can’t be matched by in-room or on-zoom only gatherings.
This session will look at how to use the virtual space effectively as a speaker. You will also learn what the most common tech issues are with hybrid meetings – and get some inexpensive, simple solutions to those problems.
Hear from experts in 4 continents, who have faced those challenges and embraced the opportunities they present.
Nobody knows who first said “You can’t do today’s job with yesterday’s tools and still be in business tomorrow” … but it remains true for all of us, so this workshop will give you some specific ideas on “How to do hybrid right.”
